My one little word for 2015 is focus. My word for last year was perserverence and while I struggled through the year I did make it-although there were times I wondered how. I think it was a lot of prayer and support from my family and close friends.
Focus can mean so many things for different people. It can be both a positive or negative quality and it can also be a useful skill. As I have watched friends and family struggle with issues ranging from emotional and health issue (including myself) to divorce and death. I thought a lot about this word(and I really tend to over think things) when I was trying to find a way to help offer some comfort to a close friend whose husband passed away in November of last year. Seeing her struggle with all the little day to day things he had done for her and the huge hole left by his absence in the lives of her and her children really made me stop and think about what was important in my life. So I have decided this year to stop and try to focus more on the people and things in my life that mean the most to me.
Here are a few areas I really want to FOCUS on this year-I have others but some are more personal and I am not wanting to share them publicly.
HEALTH-since I have to have to have knee surgery I want to FOCUS on getting in better shape by exercising daily (after surgery) and drink more water.
FAMILY-I have a small immediate family and large extended family I want to FOCUS on spending more quality time with those close to me and talk more to those who live far away.
BUSINESS LIFE-I want to FOCUS on getting my blog and graphic design skills to a point where I feel that they are successful and I can make a difference.
